INCLUSIVITY AT TZOHAR L'TOHAR, RECHASIM
We made a dream come true for one of our students.
Last week, Meir Chodosh, one of our students, approached his teacher with a request. He asked to be allowed to travel to Haifa with his fellow-students from the older boys' Inclusive Class, to visit his maternal grandfather, HaRav Kanner.
Meir lives in Rechasim with his parents and siblings.
We set up a meeting with Meir's grandparents, and today we traveled to Haifa to meet them.
Rebbitzen Kanner welcomed us warmly and invited us to sit down at a bountiful table.
When the Rav entered, the students stood and greeted him with a song they had learned for the occasion. The Rav honored us with a dvar Torah on the weekly Torah portion. He discussed the seriousness of causing dissension and the ramifications likely to stem from any conflict. He gave the students his blessings that they merit to become great Torah scholars, talmidei chachamim, and a source of joy to their parents and teachers.
Then each student approached him individually and received a personal blessing from Rav Kanner.
