Our students enjoyed a variety of activities on a trip to a local ranch.
To start off on a sweet note, our counselors distributed "iglooim" (ice pops) to the students. This sweet treat was chosen on purpose: it comes in four colors.
The students were asked to gather in four groups according to the color of their "igloo". Each group then prepared stunning art projects.
The next stage of our visit required joining the four groups into two larger groups. Each unit had something interesting to do. One group participated in activities on the ranch, and the other group was treated to an interactive film about birds. The narrator asked questions about topics discussed in the film and our counselors invited the students to come up with the correct answers.
At the petting zoo, our students enjoyed watching their counselors feed the ducks, doves, rabbits and peacocks.
Every student received a personalized memento of the day: a magnet with a picture of himself on a horse.
Wrapping up the visit, HaRav Dahan discussed the ideas behind the outing.
