Tzohar L'Tohar students and students from the local Ohel Sarah School participated together in the annual Tzohar L'Tohar Chanukah party for area children.
The Tzohar L'Tohar girls unreservedly applauded first a play and then a song and dance routine performed by Ohel Sarah students.
Then the Tzohar L'Tohar students took the stage to present a play about the legendary Chana and her seven sons, who defied the Emperor's demands to worship idols during the Hellenistic period. The girls expertly portrayed the stubborn refusal to bow to idols that Chana and her family manifested. Their performance was greatly admired by an enthusiastic audience.
Next on the program was a quiz, with appropriate questions for each group of students. The prize for answering correctly? Silver-wrapped chocolate Chanukah gelt!
The inclusive group of students from both schools demonstrated their sense of friendship and unity by energetically dancing a number of circle-dances and then they concluded festivities by enjoying the Israeli Chanukah treat sufganiot (jelly doughnuts) together
