Chanukah Party at the Lev Tov Talmud Torah
The students at Lev Tov participated in a joyous Chanukah party replete with games, riddles and a treasure hunt. The teaching assistants prepared hints for the trail leading to the treasure, adapting the hints and the search to the needs and abilities of each class. Each class was assigned a color, and all the specially-adapted hints for each were printed on paper of that color. In this manner, the children were able to participate in the treasure hunt together.
Each trail of hints led to a prize. The prizes were instructions for Chanukah-themed activities, such as preparing Chanukah dreidels (sivivonim) from chocolate and making candlesticks from flakes of colored wax. The activities took place in the classrooms, where, hidden in large and festively-wrapped cartons, supplies for the activities awaited the students.
